Mixing Powders

When it comes to herbal powders, it is best to use either a hand mixer, a shaker, or a blender because these are powders that disperse but not dissolve like sugar or salt.

One thing you can do to avoid changes in the powder’s ability to disperse easily is to make sure to close the container tightly after each use. Another is to store it in a cool dark place but not close to a location where there could be changes in humidity like beside the stove or oven or the microwave or a water heater. This is because most herbal powders absorb moisture from the air easily and over time, such moisture may cause the powders to stick to each particle making it more difficult to disperse.

Can I mix in hot water to dissolve the product better?

We don't recommend mixing in hot water. The product doesn't necessarily dissolve; you may mix it in warm or hot water. Please avoid boiling or adding when it's too hot.
