Organic Lemon Balm 10:1
What makes this product different?
Our USDA Organic Lemon Balm is a potent 10:1 extract that's Alcohol-Free, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Kosher, Vegan & Paleo Friendly. There's also no Citric Acid, Fillers, Additives, or Natural Flavors.
How do I use this product?
As a dietary supplement, take 1 full dropper or more a day. Great to use anytime when feel stressed, anxiety or overworked. This product may make you sleepy. This product should not be consumed with alcohol or other medications or products which may cause drowsiness. Do not operate a motor vehicle or other heavy equipment when using this product.
Is sugar added to it to make it taste sweet?
No, we would never add artificial sugars to our products. It's naturally sweetened by the glycerine. Only what you see of the supplement facts label is what's in the product.
Why doesn't it taste like lemons?
It's not meant to taste like a lemon. Lemon balm is a plant in the mint family, very different from an actual lemon, which is a fruit that comes from a tree.
Where does this product come from?
All of our products are manufactured in the USA.
Why is the Organic certification different?
We have multiple GMP facilities but the organic certification and kosher certification may vary based on the facility and location.
Can I mix the Lemon Balm with other supplements?
Yes, you can mix it with our other supplements (except B-12, which is suggested to be taken on its own) and drop it directly in your mouth, or mix it with water, juice, or smoothie.
I just received the new lemon balm, and the color is lighter.
Color, taste, and smell variations can occur; it's normal.
The ingredients are the same; however, slight variations can occur when working with natural raw ingredients. The color and taste of the liquid doesn't determine its efficacy or potency.
Why am I seeing color variations when I have not before?
Whenever you are working with raw ingredients, there can be variations as they may be harvested at different times of the year. We have also transitioned our extraction process in-house, it's a fresher extract which may be lighter. The color gets darker over time. The color and taste of the liquid doesn't determine its efficacy or potency.
I heard there was a change to the Lemon Balm.
Stock across our warehouse will vary.
The new extraction process ensures better consistency and overall control over quality throughout the year. Our new proprietary extraction process continues to be alcohol free, filler-free, and does not use any problematic ingredients that others may use.
We did not change the ingredients or formula. The potency and concentration 10:1 are exactly the same. The new extraction process is a fresher extract. One may notice some changes in color, taste, or velocity which have no impact on the efficacy or potency.
We will continue to transition more of our herbal products to our new proprietary in-house extraction process, so our customers can continue to count on us to bring them the most potent-yet-gentle, clean liquid supplements.
More information about our extraction process.
The only change made was to our extraction process. We have always been committed to ensuring our products are of the highest quality. To date, some of our liquid extracts have been created using the best quality and potent sourced ingredients, and others have been created with our in-house hand-crafted proprietary extraction process. We are in the process of transitioning all of our liquid extracts to our in-house hand-crafted proprietary process so we can ensure better consistency and quality throughout the year. Our in-house hand-crafted proprietary extraction process, which we used for our lemon balm and many other liquid products, follows the strict testing requirements I mentioned earlier to ensure its potency and quality.
Why is the label different for the lemon balm?
While our labels have always included a complete list of ingredients, we are now taking it a step further. Our updated labels will feature the Latin names and specify the parts of the plants used in all of our botanical products. This change is designed to give you a clearer understanding of what’s in our products and to reinforce our commitment to quality.
The formula is the same. The new label shows: Organic Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) Aerial Extract 10:1 (Herbal Equivalent 1750mg) and Other ingredients: Organic Glycerin (Flax), Purified water. This is the same as it's always been.
What does Aerial Extract mean?
Aerial parts of a plant refer to all parts that grow above ground, including the stem, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. Essentially, any part of the plant not submerged in the soil is considered an aerial part.
When making our Lemon Balm, Vimergy has historically used an Aerial Extract as the leaves and flowering tops are the parts most commonly used for medicinal purposes and are often used to make tinctures.
