Benefits:
L-Lysine helps you have a healthy immune system and supports the growth and quality of hair, skin, and tissue. L-Lysine is also essential for the synthesis of carnitine, which is required for fat metabolism.
How does it help with Fat metabolism?
What it is saying is that L-Lysine helps in the metabolization (breakdown) of fats that you consume. The reason for this is because L-Lysine is essential for the synthesis of carnitine, which is required for the breakdown of fats you consume. Specifically, carnitine is required for the transport of long-chain fatty acids. So it's just saying that if you consume fats, which are present to some degree in every food, even if in very small amounts, then L-Lysine will help to break them down and help the body to do what it needs to do to process them effectively.
Are the capsules vegetarian?
Absolutely, all of our capsules are vegetarian (vegan) capsules.
Did the label recently change?
Yes, we removed the Potato Starch.
When encapsulating the product, if potato starch is used, color changes can occur due to the heat generated during the blending process.
While the color change did not impact the overall efficacy, the color change raised customer concerns, so we made the change to support a more consistent product. We consider both potato starch and cellulose to be clean ingredients.
The previous version contained 500 mg of L-Lysine HCl per capsule and used organic potato starch as an inactive ingredient. The new version provides 2,000 mg of L-Lysine HCl and 160 mg of Bamboo extract standardized to 70% silica per 4 capsules and uses cellulose as the inactive ingredient. The cellulose used in our updated L-Lysine product is microcrystalline cellulose, a purified, plant-derived fiber that is commonly used in dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals. See below:
You may adjust the serving accordingly, 1-4 capsules, depending on the amount you wish to take. 1 capsule is 500mg.

Where does this product come from?
