What makes this product different?
Vimergy 5-MTHF provides 5mg of highly-absorbable methylfolate per capsule to support your brain health. The addition of 500mcg of B12 from a blend of adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin brings further enhancement to Vimergy 5-MTHF.
The folate comes from the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (a patented form of highly bioavailable methylfolate) that is structurally analogous to the reduced and active form of folate.
Vimergy 5-MTHF delivers a “finished” folate that the body can immediately use without any kind of metabolization.
Our 5-MTHF comes from a glucosamine salt versus the calcium salt many competitors use because the glucosamine salt has far greater water solubility. The oral bioavailability of an active ingredient is highly dependent on its solubility. The absorption of the compound happens after dispersion and solution in gastrointestinal fluid.

Vimergy 5-MTHF has B12 in it. Do I need to also take Vimergy liquid B12?
We use a small amount of the right kinds of bioavailable B12 (adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin) in our 5-MTHF capsules. It's not intended to be a replacement for B12 supplementation but rather a special synergistic enhancement to the 5-MTHF. If you are wanting to supplement B12, we highly recommend still taking Vimergy B12 liquid, which contains a higher and more concentrated dose of B12 that we know most of our community are seeking.
What does DFE stand for?
DFE stands for Dietary Folate Equivalents. DFE is a new way to measure folate metabolism, which is now required by the FDA on all supplement labels. The amount of 5-MTHF in the product is still 5mg. 8,333 mcg DFE is required to produce 5,000 mcg *(5mg) of 5-MTHF.
